ASUS ZenFone Max Plus (M1) Patch level analysis on firmware 14.02.1805.61

I have been testing my Asus ZenFone Max Plus (M1) for security patches for three months now since the Snoopsnitch tool has been released. I have repeated the same test with every new build of firmware that Asus has sent over the air and I have also reported my findings in the official forum.

Today I have tried the analysis on the latest patch 14.02.1805.61 released a couple of days ago and dated to 2018/05/25.

With every firmware update Asus has improved the results a bit. I have also reported the improvements to Asus. It seems like they were taking the matter serious because this firmware update got me surprised: they have added all the missing patches and the result of the test is just impressive.

Here are the results with build 14.02.1805.61:

  • Patched: 123
  • Patch missing: 0
  • After claimed patch level: 0
  • Not affected: 0

As you can see the number of patches missing went down to zero! Congratulations Asus. I’m not sure why the number total items went down from 225 the first month I tested to 187 in the second month to 123 this month. It probably has to do something with the measurement in the app.

Here is the actual long screen shot of the results.
